LOS ANGELES — In a thrilling season opener at Crypto.com Arena, the Golden State Warriors overcame a stellar 43-point performance by Luka Dončić to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 119–109 on Tuesday night.
Jimmy Butler led the Warriors with 31 points, including a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in the first half. Stephen Curry added 23 points and 7 assists, providing steady playmaking and scoring throughout the game. Jonathan Kuminga contributed 15 points, showcasing his energy and athleticism off the bench.

The Lakers will look to bounce back in their next game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. With LeBron James sidelined due to injury, the team will need to find additional scoring options to support Dončić.
